Ready to Play for Athletes – Be the Game


Be the Game: It refers to the idea of being yourself in the game. athletes must enjoy the sport they play.

  • Normally, people will criticize athletes which may cause a negative influence on the mindset. These things are a part of the game, as an athlete, you must always enjoy yourself.

Steps you can follow to enjoy your game

  • Ready to play Assessment: The first thing is to take the ‘Ready to Play Assessment’. This will allow you to understand where your mindset is and where it should be at.

  • Have a Plan: Secondly, you will require a simplified plan, regardless of whether you are a professional athlete or a weekend warrior.

  • Regularly exercise your good habits: Having good habits that you do every day will keep you motivated and focused on your plan.

  • Have a Measurable goal: This must be a goal that is actionable and attainable which allows you to improve yourself.

  • Create Short-Term goals: Once athletes assess themselves on their performance, they may create short-term goals to improve their mindset and approach to the game.

  • Use Long-Term Goal: These are longer goals that an athlete set for themselves so that they can stay focused in the long run.

  • Use Vision goals: Every athlete dream of achieving their dream or their ultimate goal. This allows them to keep dreaming and see their progress through a roadmap to know who far they have progressed.

  • Do you play to Win: An athlete must ask themselves if they are hesitant or if they are playing with confidence and enthusiasm?

  • Be the Game: Athletes must play to enjoy themselves and have fun. You must enjoy every part and the process of the game.
