What is a Vision goal?
A vision goal is a dream goal. It is the ultimate goal to achieve which takes a great period of time and has a lot of steps and hurdles to go through.
· An athlete can face some ups and downs along the way, but they are just a part of the process to achieve vision goals.
· It will require a lot of coaching, learning, research, and practice for an athlete to achieve his/her vision goal.
· In achieving a vision goal, you must understand each hurdle you face is a short sprint rather than a marathon. Each hurdle you face will better equip you for the challenges that you’ll face on your journey to you Vision Goal.
· Not everyone athlete may achieve their vision goal, but you’ll only be able to do that by creating short-term and long-term goals along the way to reaching your Vision Goal.
It is important to note
· People might demoralize and demotivate you as an athlete of dreaming something extraordinary, ignoring such opinions as it may influence your growth mindset.
· It may take years to achieve your vision goal. Therefore, you should enjoy all the perseverance and struggles you go through because it’ll make the journey that much sweeter when you achieve your Vision Goal.
Example of Vision goals
Below are some of the common examples of vision goals for athletes:
· Athletes commonly envision themselves playing a college sport or for leagues such as National Hockey League, National Basketball League, National Football League, Major League Soccer, etc.
· Athletes sometimes want to achieve the best numbers statistically or win a championship.
If you don't see yourself living your vision dreams then most likely they will not come true.
