Work Talents -- Business Athlete “Measurable Goals ”
A goal is milestone that people can use to motivate themselves in order to work hard to achieve it. A measurable goal is a goal that you set that is actionable and attainable. Attainable or actionable means that you should have a control over them.
For Example: A measurable goal can be to lose 20 pounds of weight in 5 months.
• Since losing weight is in an individual’s control, we can consider it as a measurable goal.
• If you don’t achieve your measurable goal, you cannot blame anyone for it since you have control over it.
• Regardless of the situation, you must complete your measurable goals
It is important to Note: People commonly confuse the idea of a measurable goal
People usually confused the idea of measurable goals with non-measurable goals. For instance, people may set a goal of getting a raise or promotion within 6 months of employment.
• Getting a raise or a promotion is in the control of your manager.
• This means that this goal is not actionable and therefore is not measurable.
